Professional Background

Mr. Mangat is one of the most experienced Immigration lawyers in Canada. His academic background includes B.A. (Hon.), LL.B., M.A. (Political Science), LL.M. and Ph.D. (Law). He is a member of Law Society of Ontario and a foreigner member of the Law Societies of Alberta and British Columbia. His fight in the Supreme Court of Canada, Law society of British Columbia v. Mangat, [2001] 3 S.C.R. 113, 2001 SCC 67, was responsible to regulate the profession of Immigration consultants in Canada, for the protection of the public. His Outstanding Contribution to the Immigration Consulting Profession was formally recognized by the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants in their National Conference in 2007.

Mr. Mangat has practiced law in Ontario since 2001. Prior to that he practiced immigration law in Alberta, and before that he practiced immigration and refugee law and helped thousands of clients in British Columbia, since1970s. Author of several books.
